Departure St. Martin :
Minimum length ten days (optimal length
fifteen days).
St. Martin which has been divided between France and
the Netherlands since the 17 century offers a subtle mix of
Creoles, French, Dutch and English languages and traditions.
With beaches considered amongst the most beautiful in
the world, this island is surrounded with breathtaking
anchorages: l’Anse Marcel, Grand’Case, Orient Bay, Marigot
Bay and Tintamarre.
You will enjoy its cosmopolitan night life and be able
to go shopping in the well-known ‘duty free shops’ situated
in the Dutch part.
This warm-atmosphered and prosperous island situated at
a cable’s length from coral reefs of Anguilla and St. Barth,
known as St. Tropez of the Caribbean is the ideal departure
point to join the leeward islands.
First
day : We will set off from St. Martin to anchor at
Tintamarre. Lunch in a place overlooking a beautiful
white-sanded beach. Possibility of exploring a magnificent sea
bottom. Afterwards we will sail to St. Barth to stay overnight
in natural environment.
Sailing
distance: 20 miles.
Second day :
We will leave for Statia known by very few people. We
will go sightseeing this unspoilt island consisting of two
volcanic cones covered with a thick tropical forest. Visiting
the volcano is a must! Night spent in an urban area of
Oranjestadt.
Sailing
distance: 25 miles.
Third
day :
We will sail to St. Kitts to anchor in the harbour of Zante,
which is a charming old town with a typical colonial-style
architecture and Rasta atmosphere. St. Kitts is also a volcanic
island with a beautiful crater. The tropical forest covering the
slopes of the mountains, sugar cane fields an the plateaux
together with cliffs and beaches along the coast are marvellous
sight.
Sailing
distance: 20 miles.
Fourth day :
We will sail a short distance to reach Ballast Bay one
of the numerous bays of St. Kitts to stay overnight. Anchorage
in a natural environment on one of the beautiful beaches. With a
bit of luck we will be able to watch a group of monkeys living
near by.
Sailing
distance: 5 miles.
Fifth day :
We will sail a short distance to reach the Nevis which is a
small rounded island with two peaks in its centre. Today cotton
fields and coco nut trees have replaced sugar cane plantations.
In the 18th and 19th century the island was visited for its
thermal baths of sulphuric water. We will moor for the night in
a natural environment along the rocky coast interspersed with
beaches.
Sailing
distance: 8 miles.
Sixth day :
We will set off in the afternoon to enjoy sailing by
night towards Antigua that we will reach the following
afternoon. Antigua is a jewel with its numerous anchorages
surrounded with magnificent coral reefs and wonderful beaches
along a rugged coast. Antigua is a typical English place under
the tropics. We will moor for the night in the English Harbour.
This harbour is a landmark stop over in the Caribbean Island
where one can see among other things Nelson Dockyard whose
construction started in 1723.
Antigua is also the Mecca of nautical sports.
Sailing distance: 58 miles.
Seven day :
We will sail a short distance to anchor at Non Such Bay
of Antigua which has one of the most beautiful beaches in the
Caribbean. This bay is protect by a coral reef but regular
swells create a very special atmosphere.
Excellent opportunity to snorkel in calm water.
Sailing distance: 7 miles.
Eight day :
We will set off in the morning to reach Barbuda, a
flat, chalky island surrounded with a magnificent white-sanded
beaches and particularly rich sea bottoms due to the numerous
coral reefs.
We will moor in a natural environment at Cocoa Point, a
bay with a desert beach, eight kilometres long. Possibility of
visiting the biggest Caribbean natural reserve of frigate birds.
Sailing distance: 36 miles.
Ninth day :
We will sail a long distance pushed by backwards winds
to reach in the afternoon St. Barth and the famous Gustavia
harbour. Its splendid ships and its town full of luxurious shops
make you think of Monaco or St. Tropez.
Sailing distance: 64 miles.
Tenth day :
return to St. Martin and the harbour of Oyster Pond, an
enclave amongst the hills witch offers a multicultural
atmosphere.
This itinerary is of course just an example. It can be
adapted to any of your suggestions.
Departure St. Martin :

First day :
We will set out from St. Martin to anchor at
Tintamarre. Lunch in a place overlooking a very beautiful
white-sanded beach. Possibility of exploring a rich sea bottom.
Afterwards we will sail to Fourche facing St. Barth to stay
overnight in a calm and natural environment.
Sailing distance: 17 miles.
Second day :
We will sail a short distance to reach St. Barth and
the famous Gustavia harbour. Its splendid ships and its town
full of luxurious shops make you think of Monaco or St. Tropez.
Sailing
distance: 8 miles.
Third day :
Tour of St. Barth to admire rocks extending into water
and its marvellous beaches. We will spend the night in the
Colombiers Bay in a natural environment facing a very beautiful
beach.
Sailing
distance: 12 miles.
Fourth day : Beautiful sailing to Anguilla to stay overnight in the
natural environment of Crocus Bay, opposite magnificent cliffs
interspersed with little and beautiful beaches.
Sailing
distance: 30 miles.
Fifth day :
We will sail to Sandy Island to have to lunch and then
snorkel on the reef. Afterwards we will continue to Road Bay
where we will stay overnight in an anchorage facing a charming
little village with a lot of nice restaurants.
Sailing distance: 6 miles.
Sixth day :
We will sail to St. Martin to spend the night in the
Bay of Marigot, beautiful anchorage in clear water opposite a
little, and charming town busting with life.
Sailing distance: 13 miles.
Seventh day :
Short sailing to l’Anse Marcel, a beautiful harbour
situated in the middle of a large luxurious hotel wall.
This
itinerary is of course just an example. It can be adapted to any
of your suggestion
Départure Union Island: Minimum length six days (optimal
length seven days).
Starting from Union Island with its Steel-Band Rasta,
we will sail from one paradise to another.
Bequia la Creole with fishermen huts and its models of
whaleboats, Canouan with its Caribbean market, tropical garden
and its beaches bordered with coconut trees.
Off the
coast of Mayereau, among little uninhabited islets of Tobago
Cays, you will be able to dive into Horseshoe reef (named after
its form) in a fabulous lagoon where different nuance of blue
and green limpid water are mixed.
First day :
Departure: Union Island main stop over of the
Grenadines to reach the famous Tobago Cays. They consist of four
uninhabited islets (Petit Rameau, Petit Bateau, Baradal and
Jamesby) protect from the ocean by a coral reef in a form of
horseshoe: Horseshoe reef.
The Tobago Cays form a National park. Limpid water is
full of life because fishing has been banned in this area.
We will moor in a natural environment at Baradal. The
colour of the water is unique thanks to the protection of the
reef which guarantees smooth water, ideal condition to discover
deep-water fauna.
Sailing distance: 6 miles.
Second day :
We will sail a short distance to the island Petit St.
Vincent. On this hotel-island you can enjoy luxury and high
standard of living.
Anchorage at noon opposite l’île de Morpion which is
a little dune of white sand topped with a little hut. The colour
of the water and the rich deep sea life are unique, a real
postcard.
Sailing distance: 7 miles.
Third day :
We will set off in the morning to reach Cariacou, the
biggest island of the Grenadines. This island has a number of
small valleys with green hills surrounded with splendid
white-sanded beaches.
Anchorage at noon opposite the islet of Sandy Island,
dune in the middle of the sea full of fish.
We will moor for the night in a urban environment of
Tyrell Bay. You will be welcomed by gentle and warm inhabitants
and will admire a splendid landscape.
Sailing distance: 9 miles.
Fourth day :
We will leave in the morning to anchorage in the
natural setting of Saline, an islet south of Cariacou. Lunch in
a wonderful natural and isolated environment.
We will then continue to sail to Union Island and
anchor to spend the night in a natural setting of Chatham Bay.
This wild bay is an ideal place for those who like snorkelling
because of the numerous slopes. This is also one of the rare
places in the Grenadines where one can see pelicans.
Sailing distance: 21 miles.
Fifth day :
We will sail towards Mayereau Island to anchor in Salt
Whistle Bay.
This sumptuous bay consists of magnificent beach which stops the
waves of the ocean and where the sunsets are unforgettable. Like
all over the place the rich sea life is accessible to all.
Sailing distance: 4 miles.
Sixth day :
We will return to the Union Island sailing along the
coast of Mayereau. Then we will anchor at Clifton Harbour. This
little harbour is situated along a pretty village with bright
colours and nice restaurants. You will find once more the
relaxed atmosphere which characterises the Caribbean Island.
Sailing distance: 4 miles.
